Specializing in southwestern burritos and tortilla wraps, New York Burrito offers hearty portions, a friendly atmosphere, affordable prices, and free wireless Internet access. New York Burrito, part of a small franchise organization, has a unique feel that bucks the cookie-cutter franchise mold. The restaurant's trendy neon and aluminum decor is juxtaposed with a mural depicting desert scenes of saguaro cactus and red mesas and buttes. Ordering takes place at the counter and food is prepared by professional wrap artists right before your very eyes. The choices include a Marinated Steak Gourmet Wrap, Staten Island "Smothered" Burrito and Marinated Chicken, to name a few. For no additional charge you can also go the half pinto and half black bean route. You also can choose the flavor of your tortilla: flour, spinach, wheat, garlic herb, tomato basil and jalapeno, and for an additional 75 cents, you can have a low-carb wrap netting 75 percent less carbs than the other wraps. Those afraid of spicy foods are able to rest easy. Mild salsa provides ample spice without going overboard. Or, try our guacamole. It adds appropriate zest to chips and entrees. There's a come-as-you-are atmosphere in New York Burrito that's perfect for popping in to pick something up or sitting down for a casual bite to eat.
